When you join Charm City Indivisible, you’re not just joining a nonprofit—you’re joining a movement of your neighbors. We are part of a network of more than 2,000 volunteer-led groups across the country, but our strength comes from right here in Baltimore.
We organize, we show up, and we take action together. We speak with our neighbors, advocate for our communities, train one another, support new leaders, and hold systems of power accountable. We try new tactics, we make noise, and we demand to be heard.

Charm City Indivisible is part of a nationwide movement of millions of people working to stop the rise of authoritarianism in the United States and to demand a real democracy—but our work begins right here in Baltimore. We believe that politics is too important to leave up to politicians. It requires all of us, in our own neighborhoods, to step onto the field.
We know that democracy only works when everyday people organize, show up, and hold those in power accountable. In Baltimore, that means standing together across our communities to protect one another and ensure every voice is heard.
Indivisible was founded in 2016 by former congressional staffers who saw, from the inside, how grassroots pressure can shape political outcomes. What began as a practical guide for civic action has grown into a powerful, people-led movement—with groups like ours carrying that work forward locally.

Charm City Indivisible is a diverse coalition of Baltimoreans building political power to strengthen democracy and advance justice in our city and beyond. We believe democracy works better when the many, not the few, shape the decisions that affect our lives. We organize together through electoral work, direct action, and community care to hold leaders accountable, win concrete changes, and build the thriving, inclusive society we deserve.
